4.5-Hour Certification Course
Workplace violence is an incident of violence or threat of violence against Workers. This includes both internal and external threats, including criminal intent, customer or client harassment, worker-on-worker or personal and/or domestic relationships.
Not only can workplace violence result in serious injury and/or death. But, incidents of workplace violence affects the entire workplace. Contributing to an increasing number of incidents of Employee absenteeism, lost productivity, and low morale.
A mandatory requirement under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), all Employers are required to prepare a Workplace Violence and Harassment Policy (WPVH) and review it a minimum of once each year. In addition, Employers must also have a WPVH program in place, which includes training all staff.

Who Should Take This Course?
This is a mandatory course for all Employees, Supervisors and Managers in all Sectors. Upon successful completion of the WPVH certification program, participants will receive a wall certificate and wallet card. In addition, all participants receive complimentary academic tracking and re-currency reminder service.

There is no training equipment required for this course. Participant training manuals and all required reading materials are included in the cost of the course. Mandatory participant dress code is business casual.
Recurrency and Recertification
All certificates issued are valid for one year and must be renewed annually. Included as part of the Health and Safety program are complimentary academic tracking and a re-currency training reminder service.
